ABOUT RÍAS BAIXAS
The Rías Baixas Designation of Origin is a small wine-growing area in north-west Spain, in the region of Galicia. The Rías Baixas Designation of Origin is mostly located in the province of Pontevedra, plus a small part in that of La Coruña. It is divided into five sub-zones: Val do Salnés, O Rosal, Ribeira do Ulla, Condado do Tea and Soutomaior.
The wines of the Rías Baixas Designation of Origin have evolved from a wine-growing tradition that is deeply rooted in the 5 sub-zones of which it is made up. They are produced from indigenous grape varieties, such as Albariño, which achieve their full expression in the special wine-growing conditions of southern Galicia.
OUR WINES FROM RÍAS BAIXAS
Albariño
Disintegration of granite, surfacing occasionally to the bedrock
Hand harvesting; cold maceration with skins occurs for several hours before fermentation. Fermentation by indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks, pre-evacuated with CO2. Once finished, wine is kept for 3 months with lees before a careful stabilization.
Pale yellow color; a nose reminding the ocean, salty and mineral, a citric background and a remarkable fruit. An extraordinary freshness in the mouth, vibrant and bright.
We are convinced that some terroir has caught your attention. Do not hesitate to contact us if you are interested in tasting our wines.
