ABOUT CAVA

Sparkling wines

About Can Xa is the nickname of our family in their hometown of Barcelona. As a tribute to them, we have created this cava, trying to express the essence of this Mediterranean region: intense, fresh, aromatic, lively and vibrant.

With a clear Mediterranean influence, Penedes has a long tradition on sparkling elaborated by the traditional or champenois method. Thanks to the soft Mediterranean climate and clay soils, the grape has the optimum conditions of maturity and brings the acidity necessary to maintain the fresh taste of our cavas.

By the champenoise or traditional method. Second fermentation in the bottle and aged for 12 months on lees before disgorgement.

TASTING NOTES

Pale yellow color, fine and homogeneus bubbles; citrus notes, together with orange peel and bakery. Fresh and vibrant in the mouth with a light sweety aftertaste of fruits.

TASTING NOTES

Raspberry pink, fine and homogeneous bubbles. The nose is very clean, with hints of red fruits and bakery aromas. In the mouth, the bubble is very well integrated, tingly. Nice red fruit nuances, extremely fresh and a light and very pleasant aftertaste.|

TASTING NOTES

Pale yellow with fine and homogeneous bubbles. The nose is very lively, with citric notes and a slight feeling of yeast and nuts. In the mouth, the bubble is very well integrated and not at all aggressive. It is extremely bright and fresh with a final impression of joy and liveliness.

TASTING NOTES

Bright golden color with greenish hints. Fine bubles leading to an enduring corona. Its primary nose is floral followed by a light taste of citric fruits with the yeasty note of fresh baked bread. Well inegrated bubles, in the mouth, its acidity stands out with a bitter finish that adds strength and complexity.
